(I kinda stole karkooshy's idea, but this is a mini review because I haven't played it long. Don't kill me D:)

I'll start with the graphics, apparently the game doesn't work with the retina display, so the graphics are...normal I suppose. (3rd Gen iTouch) The graphics aren't as good as some of the other iPhone/iPod games though. Still good enough.

The controls don't respond well for me, but they still work pretty good.

However, the special stage control is horrible. Sonic was rolling in random directions, you have to use the accelerometer for it, but after awhile you'll get used to it, but the special stage control is still hard.

And lastly, the gameplay. The gameplay is pretty good, you have the homing attack, spindash, and whatever else there is. So yeah, the game is pretty fun.

I don't agree with the pricing on it though. In Canada the price is $9.99. It should be around $5.00, because it's not really a full game, because they have another episode coming out at some point. You only have 4 zones. The original Sonic games had 6-7 zones. (I think.)

looks okish but is this for the i stuff? (iPhone iPad iTouch)
it'll probably be better in the ps3

Yeah, it'll be MUCH better on the PS3 and X360, because it gets 1080p (HD) graphics. Plus the controls will most likely be easier. I'm getting the Wii version though because I hate the X360, and because my PS3 doesn't work anymore Sad

I'm using an iPhone 4.
The graphics are awesome and the controls are very responsive.
I'm stuck on the final boss xD
(P.S. Best game on my iPhone... and yes, even though there is no iPad version, I'm playing it on the tablet at double pixels size..)

As a side note:

I didn't notice this until I played sonic 4 on the iPad.
When you leave the game going for about 15 seconds, it zooms in on sonic. On the iPhone, his hand was black, so I thought there was a glitch. Since the iPad had a larger display, when I opened the game on the tablet, turns out the black wasn't a glitch. Sonic was actually holding an iPhone xD

Take a look:

I wonder if that's for the iOS only. I could imagine for each of the console versions, sonic pulling out that console's remote and playing around with it. ^^

15 dollars for an awesome game, with 12 levels, 5 boss acts and a whole load of fun xD
@ace, the iOS version is shorter than the console version. Plus the console versions have better graphics Smile
